New Year, New Vision

Posted in

Many people start of the new year with a traditional New Year’s resolution to change their behavior, start a new goal or accomplish something different at the start of the year. Common resolutions include things like losing weight, exercising more, spending less money and getting organized.

While all of these may be great ideas, this year, the HOPE Center is encouraging you to start this year off by getting a divine vision and setting intention for the things that are most important to you at this time in your life. Too many things at one time can overwhelm you, so no need for a long list. Start with one area of your life and become clear about the initial vison before moving on to the next thing. Remember that a vison gives you restraint and helps you stay the course. Here are a few tips to help you along the way:

1. Dare To Vision: What is the vision for your relationships, your career, your education, your business, friendships or your finances? Spend some quiet time and listen to the still voice of the divine for direction. What is the vision for a particular area of your life based on the season that you are currently in?

2. Write It Down: Write down in detail what your vision is, and if led to do so, how you might move forward with bringing your vision to life. What steps do you need to take to work toward making your vison a reality? Put the date on it, so that you can keep track of when you received the vision and when you got started. Writing down your vision gives you guardrails; it helps to keep you on track and stay focused.

3. Declare It Boldly: Speak the vison aloud and proclaim it to the universe. Receive it, declare it and believe it! There is value in sharing your vision with others, and it is equally as important to have supportive people around that will help encourage and cheer us on toward the goal. What does your support system look like? Are they your dream keepers and faith partners?

As we get into position and move closer to starting on this journey together, let’s be in agreement together as we embrace this year’s vision for life. We hope that you hear it clearly, state it boldly and walk confidently. So, go ahead and get started, we look forward to supporting you in living a resilient life! #IAmResilient
